Per Thorén, PhDPer Thorén earned his PhD in Physical chemistry at Chalmers University of Technology in 2003. His primary research area is in cellular delivery of macromolecules, but he has also worked on surfactants for solubilization of poorly soluble drugs. At present, he is Web Editor for Molecular Frontiers and Project Manager for MoleClues.

The 2008 Molecular Frontiers symposium, "Energy and Nano: Emerging Molecular Science and Technology," featured not only first-rate lectures on this theme, but also a day dedicated to youth. Members of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) responded to questions from the young participants.
Molecular Frontiers again hosted an activity called "The Chemistry of Love" at the Science Festival in Gothenburg, Sweden. Some two hundred teenagers aged 13 to 15 visited the event.
